The Bompu Litter Frog Leptobrachium bompu, is a frog species that is new to science. The frog was discovered by Sanjay Sondhi at Bompu, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary in May 2009. The frog was described by Sanjay Sondhi and Dr. Anne-Marie Ohler in Zootaxa in June 2011.


Locality: Holotype found at Bompu, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Numerous other records subsequently from Eaglenest and Talle Valley.

Habitat: seen in leaf litter and under rotting logs at forest stream

Key features: entirely greyish-blue eyes
